New Delhi, April 11: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, celebrated its 21st Annual Day at the Manekshaw Centre, marking a significant milestone in its journey of transforming India’s infrastructure landscape.

On the occasion, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology, along with Ravneet Singh, Minister of State for Railways & Food Processing Industries, and V. Somanna, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways & Jal Shakti, extended their heartfelt congratulations to RVNL and commended the organization for its outstanding contribution to strengthening the nation’s infrastructure.

The celebration was graced by senior officials from the Railway Board, including Satish Kumar, Vivek Kumar Gupta, R. Rajagopal, and Manjusha Jain, whose presence added further significance to the occasion.

The event featured a special address by Saleem Ahmad, a welcome address by M. P. Singh, and a vote of thanks by Anupam Ban. Senior officials including Amit Tandon, Abhishek Kumar, and Mukesh Kumar, along with distinguished guests and retired officers, were also present.

A key highlight of the Annual Day celebrations was the awards and recognition ceremony, which honored outstanding contributions across the organization. RVNL conferred 5 prestigious shield and cash awards, 14 group awards, and 24 individual awards, recognizing excellence in rail, metro, tunnelling, overseas, and strategic infrastructure projects, as well as key functions such as finance, HR, ESG, design, and business development.

Over the past year, RVNL has achieved significant milestones through the successful completion and progress of key infrastructure projects. Among the most notable achievements was the construction of the New Pamban Bridge, inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, marking a major engineering feat. The company has also made strong progress in strategic initiatives such as the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag Rail Link, metro developments in Kolkata, Indore, and Chennai, along with railway doubling, electrification, tunnelling in the Himalayan region, and international infrastructure projects.

As RVNL enters its next phase of growth, the organization remains focused on accelerating infrastructure delivery, strengthening project execution, and supporting India’s long-term transport and logistics vision.

The evening concluded with a special musical performance by renowned playback singer Monali Thakur, adding a celebratory note to the occasion.
