The evening brought together an influential gathering of tastemakers, industry insiders and cultural voices for a showcase that seamlessly blended high fashion with destination storytelling. At its core was a bespoke capsule collection by Mandira Wirk, curated in collaboration with Visit California – an ode to the state’s diverse landscapes, from the golden beaches of Malibu and the vineyard-laden serenity of Napa Valley to the desert tones of Palm Springs and the effortless glamour of Los Angeles.
Mandira Wirk said, “For me, resort wear has always been about a feeling – when a woman is completely at ease.”
Infused with California’s signature sense of freedom and understated luxury, the collection translated its sunlit aesthetic into fluid silhouettes, tactile fabrics and a palette inspired by coastal light, desert warmth and twilight skies.
“The Only Resort” collection captured escape as a feeling – effortless, elevated and intimate. Inspired by Shadows of Flora, it reimagined florals as softened impressions layered through light and shadow, unfolding across three print stories – Scarlet, Jade and Mist – expressed through fluid ombré, tone-on-tone detailing and vibrant yet nuanced hues. Silhouettes were designed for ease and movement, brought alive through ruffles, fringes and delicate gold accents, while each handcrafted piece reflected a quiet, modern luxury embodying a refined, contemporary vision of resort wear shaped by California’s relaxed sophistication.
The showcase served as a celebration of California as a cultural and creative force its spirit translated into a design narrative that resonates with a global, style-conscious audience.
