Over 500 students and faculty benefit from the Free Health Check-up Camp at Amity on World Health Day

Domain of Health & Allied Sciences, Amity University Uttar Pradesh Noida campus organised one-day Free Health Check-Up Camp in association with Yatharth Hospital and Clove Dental Care, on the occasion of World Health Day, with the aim to create awareness about health and wellness amongst the students.

Highlighting the importance of good health, Dr. Sanjeev Bansal, Additional Pro Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh stated, “Healthy citizens will contribute to ViksitBharat@2047, therefore, taking care of our health is of utmost importance. At Amity, a strong focus is laid on health and wellness, whether it is physical health or mental health and all the students and faculty members must get their health check-up done, today. On World Health Day, let us prioritize health and well-being and work towards a healthier future for all.”

During the Free Health Check Up Camp, Random Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, Bone Mineral Density Check Up, Dental Check Up, Eye Check Up, Pulmonary Function Test, BMI Testing, ECG Testing, Neck Pain Assessment, Backpain Assessment and Physiotherapy Consultation Services were provided to the faculty and students, by a panel of 7-8 doctors, along with their support staff.

Dr. Tanveer Naved, Deputy Dean, Domain of Health & Allied Sciences, Amity University, said, “It was found that most of the students had eye problems due to excessive screen time as they spend most of their time on their mobile phones and laptops. Dental problems are also common due to consumption of junk food and unhealthy lifestyle. It was also observed that neck and back problems are prevalent amongst the students due to long sitting hours and lack of exercise.”
