Mumbai, April 7: 7he occasion of World Health Day, Thyrocare Technologies Limited (NSE: THYROCARE, BSE: 539871), a leading healthcare diagnostics company and one of the first in India to achieve 100% NABL accreditation across all its laboratories, has unveiled the Bharat Aarogyam Score—one of the country’s largest real-world preventive health analyses.

The study is based on over 93 lakh health checkups conducted between 2023 and 2025 and highlights a significant prevalence of silent health risks across the population. According to the findings, more than 9 out of 10 individuals show early signs of at least one health condition, with a majority exhibiting multiple overlapping risk factors.

Comprehensive Health Risk Assessment

The Bharat Aarogyam Score evaluates 10 key health condition groups, including:

  • Cancer risk indicators
  • Diabetes (HbA1c)
  • Heart health (cholesterol, triglycerides)
  • Hemoglobin and iron levels
  • Kidney and liver function
  • Thyroid function
  • Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 deficiencies

Multiple Health Risks on the Rise

The report reveals that health risks rarely occur in isolation:

  • Over 90% show risk for at least one condition
  • Over 80% for at least two conditions
  • Over 60% for at least three conditions
  • Nearly 40% for at least four conditions
  • Nearly 20% for five or more conditions

These findings indicate a growing trend of overlapping health risks among individuals.

Early Onset of Non-Communicable Diseases

The analysis highlights that non-communicable diseases such as heart conditions and diabetes are emerging earlier than expected:

  • Heart health risks rise sharply in the 21–40 age group
  • Diabetes risk more than doubles by the 40s
  • Kidney risk nearly doubles after 60
  • Thyroid imbalance shows a steady increase across age groups

Gender-Based Health Trends

The study also identifies notable gender differences:

  • Low hemoglobin prevalence is approximately 2.5× higher in females
  • Liver abnormalities are 1.5× higher in males
  • Thyroid imbalance is only 1.4× higher in females
  • Vitamin B12 deficiency is 1.4× higher in males

Rajdeep Panwar, Chief Commercial Officer, added,
“The Bharat Aarogyam Score highlights overlapping risks and emphasizes the need for a holistic approach to preventive healthcare.”
