Celebrating the spirit of Christmas and giving back to the community, Conrad Pune joined hands with Merck Life Science and Robin Hood Army for a meaningful initiative aimed at promoting food safety awareness.
The event welcomed children from underserved communities, from nearby government schools, for an engaging and educational experience that supplemented festive joy.
As part of the event, Merck’s Curiosity Labs™/ SPARK™ program set up for the students. These interactive edutainment sessions offered children hands-on science experiment experiences, introducing them to germ detection concepts. Reflecting Merck’s commitment to promoting science education, the children were mentored by SPARK™ experts (an in-house volunteer group at Merck that drives community engagement), helping them envision a future where they, too, could make a difference in science and society.
The day concluded with a specially curated Christmas lunch by the chefs at Conrad Pune, bringing joy to the children while reflecting the hotel’s commitment to creating memorable experiences. Adding a creative touch to the learning experience, Merck-Tinkle comic books and goodies were distributed to the students, educating them about microbial contamination and the importance of safe food handling from farm to table.
