New Delhi, April 2: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang attended the Rajasthan Statehood Day celebrations held at Lok Bhavan, marking the occasion with a message of unity, cultural harmony, and national integration.

 The event was graced by  Governor Om Prakash Mathur,  Chief Justice of the High Court of Sikkim, Muhamed Mustaque Ayumantakath, Rajasthan Minister Sanjay Sharma, along with Ministers, MLAs, senior officials, and other dignitaries from Sikkim.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister described the occasion as a proud and memorable moment that reflects the shared spirit of unity and cultural harmony across states. He highlighted that Rajasthan Statehood Day commemorates a legacy of courage, sacrifice, and rich heritage, noting that Rajasthan—formed on March 30, 1949, under the leadership of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel stands today as India’s largest state, famously known as the “Land of Kings.”

The Chief Minister also underscored the importance of national initiatives such as “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in strengthening the spirit of unity in diversity and fostering deeper cultural connections across the country.

He expressed appreciation for the Governor’s initiative in celebrating Rajasthan Statehood Day in Sikkim, stating that such efforts promote cultural exchange and reinforce bonds of national unity. The Chief Minister further lauded the contributions of Shri Vineet Chauhan and Shri Siddharth Deval for their poetic performances, which added vibrancy to the event.

Reflecting on Rajasthan’s glorious past from the valour of Maharana Pratap to its magnificent forts and vibrant traditions—the Chief Minister remarked that celebrating its culture in the serene landscape of Sikkim exemplifies India’s shared heritage.

Concluding his address, Shri Tamang called upon citizens to reaffirm their commitment to preserving traditions, strengthening unity, and working collectively towards the nation’s progress.
