Mar 24: Max Fashion brought together fashion and film culture as it unveiled its newest store in Valasaravakkam, Chennai, celebrating the launch through an experience inspired by the city’s deep-rooted love for cinema, culminating in a dramatic appearance by actress Kayadu Lohar, whose vibrant screen presence and rising popularity brought unmistakable star power to the evening.

Marking the brand’s 34th store in Chennai, the opening moved beyond a traditional retail inauguration, transforming the launch into a cinematic celebration that reflected Chennai’s vibrant movie culture while introducing shoppers to a thoughtfully designed new retail space with the new identity store.

The evening unfolded like a film premiere. Guests arrived in an atmosphere shaped by visual cues from Tamil cinema: film posters and standees, movie-ticket-inspired entries, popcorn counters, and nostalgic theatre-style elements that recreated the excitement of opening night. Autorickshaws stationed at the entrance added a distinctly local touch, while interactive moments across the store encouraged guests and creators to explore, capture, and engage with the experience.

As anticipation built, guests gathered near the entrance area, where the evening’s cinematic theme unfolded through interactive moments and curated engagement led by the emcee, subtly building excitement around a special arrival yet to come.

In a dramatic, film-style entry that echoed a classic hero reveal, Kayadu Lohar arrived at the venue, creating an electrifying moment that instantly captured the attention of guests and creators alike. The unexpected entry set the tone for the evening, blending Chennai’s cinematic culture with the celebratory spirit of the launch.
