Hyatt Regency Dehradun Resort and Spa welcomes Ashish Singh as its new Executive Housekeeper, bringing on board a hospitality professional known for his sharp eye for detail and hands-on leadership style.
A graduate of IHM Mumbai and trained through the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development’s management programme, Ashish arrives in Dehradun with experience built on discipline, consistency, and a deep respect for the guest experience. He believes that well-kept spaces are not sustained by checklists alone, but by people who genuinely care about the work they do.
Ashish began his career as a Housekeeping Associate at The Oberoi Gurugram, where he managed guest room upkeep, housekeeping desk operations, and minibar services. He later moved to ITC Maurya, New Delhi, as Assistant Executive Housekeeper, where he oversaw a large room inventory and led Sleeep Boutique; an in-hotel retail concept focused on premium bedding and linen. Across both roles, one belief stayed constant: hospitality begins in the room, and the room begins with the team behind it.
“The mountains remind you to slow down and notice what’s around you. That’s the mindset I bring to housekeeping; paying attention to the small things others might miss. At Hyatt Regency Dehradun Resort and Spa, I hope to build a team that notices everything: a misplaced thread, a scent that feels off, a greeting that could be warmer. When those small details are taken care of consistently, a resort becomes more than just a place to stay – it becomes somewhere guests want to return.” mentioned, Ashish Singh.
He has also demonstrated that housekeeping can contribute to revenue when managed with business awareness. Services such as horticulture, pest control, and other support functions were organised into income-generating verticals. His approach reflects someone who sees opportunity in operational functions, not just expenditure.
Team development remains central to his leadership style. Ashish has designed training programmes from the ground up, conducted thoughtful performance reviews, and introduced refresher sessions aimed at real skill-building rather than routine compliance. He continues to invest in his own growth as well, currently pursuing the Employee Experience Certificate Programme with CoreNet Global and holding a Professional Certificate in Business Management from IIM Kozhikode.
