Bengaluru, Mar 15: HSW Embroidery Machines on Saturday unveiled ‘Turbo 1.5’, a single-head embroidery machine claimed to be India’s fastest in its category with speeds of up to 1,500 RPM, at an event in the city attended by entrepreneurs and industry professionals.
The machine was launched by actor Pranitha Subhash, who interacted with attendees and highlighted the growing interest in entrepreneurship through small embroidery businesses.
HSW, a Surat-based company that recently completed 13 years in the embroidery machine industry, manufactures single-head embroidery machines widely used by boutique owners, garment manufacturers and independent entrepreneurs, many of whom operate small embroidery units from home.

The company currently serves more than 6,000 customers across India and several international markets, the firm said.
The newly launched Turbo 1.5 features a 10-inch touchscreen computer system, 12-needle configuration, maximum speed of 1,500 RPM, automatic and manual thread trimmer, automatic and manual colour change, and a large embroidery area suitable for garments such as T-shirts, blouses and lehenga work. The machine comes with a five-year warranty, according to the company.
Speaking at the launch, HSW founder Tapan Kapadia said the company focuses on developing machines that enable individuals to build businesses.
“Embroidery has the potential to change lives when technology becomes accessible. Our machines are used by people who start small and gradually build their own businesses. Turbo 1.5 is built to give entrepreneurs the speed and efficiency they need to grow,” Kapadia said.

Alongside Turbo 1.5, the company also introduced two other single-head embroidery machines — Ultra and Neo — expanding its product portfolio.
The Ultra model, an upgraded version of the company’s 5G series, features a 10-inch touchscreen system, 12-needle setup and a maximum speed of 1,200 RPM, along with automatic and manual thread trimming and colour change. It comes with a five-year warranty and a larger embroidery area designed for garment production and customised textile work.
The Neo model is designed as a compact and user-friendly machine for first-time users and small production setups. It features a 12-needle system, maximum speed of 1,200 RPM, automatic and manual thread trimmer, and automatic and manual colour change, and comes with a two-year warranty. The machine is suitable for embroidery on caps, T-shirts, blouses and lehenga work, the company said.
During the event, Pranitha Subhash interacted with participants and spoke about the increasing interest in entrepreneurship and home-based businesses, particularly among women exploring embroidery as a source of income.
According to the company, many of its customers are women entrepreneurs who started embroidery businesses from home, including widows and single mothers seeking stable income opportunities.
HSW also provides online training and service support to help first-time users learn machine operation and production techniques without needing to travel for technical assistance.
With the launch of Turbo 1.5, Ultra and Neo, the company aims to support garment businesses and entrepreneurs looking to start or expand embroidery production, it added.
