
Gurugram, Mar 09: RITES Ltd., the leading Transport Infrastructure Consultancy and Engineering firm, celebrated International Women’s Day by hosting interactive sessions for employees at its offices in the country.
The session at Shikhar, Corporate Office in Gurugram, featured Lieutenant Commander Deepa Singh of the Indian Navy as the guest speaker. She shared insights from her professional journey in service to the nation and spoke about goal-setting, self-belief, and determination, inspiring Team RITES to strive for excellence.
As part of the celebrations, two women employees, Ms. Isha Apurwa, Deputy General Manager, ERIO, and Ms. Seema Mohan Sharma, Junior Engineer (Civil), Airport Unit, were felicitated by Lt. Cdr Deepa Singh and RITES Chairman & Managing Director Mr. Rahul Mithal for their professional achievements and contributions.
Ms. Apurwa was recently awarded Second Prize for ‘Best Women Employee (Executive)’ at the 36th National Meet of Women in Public Sector (WIPS), Mumbai, and has also published technical research in international journals including Metallography, Microstructure, and Analysis and Springer conference proceedings on mechanical engineering. Ms. Sharma, who was felicitated by the Railway Women’s Welfare Central Organisation, Delhi, has been involved in the planning and design of several airport projects, including Hassan and Vijaypur in Karnataka.
The session concluded with an exchange of gratitude and a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion at the workplace.
