Mumbai, Mar 09: Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Architecture (VESCOA) commemorated its 3rd Convocation Ceremony with the conferment of degrees upon graduates of the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) and Diploma in Interior Design programmes. Upholding its academic tradition, the institute also hosted the prestigious Hashu Advani Memorial Lecture Series on Ekistics as part of the celebrations.
The lecture was delivered by Ramprasad Akkisetti, Managing Director of CCBA Designs, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He highlighted the continued relevance of Ekistics, the science of human settlements in shaping contemporary urban governance. The lecture emphasized the philosophy of the “wholeness of life,” encouraging planning approaches that integrate ecological preservation, heritage conservation, infrastructure development, and community well-being. An engaging Q&A session followed, enabling students and attendees to explore practical applications of the Ekistics framework in addressing modern urban challenges.
The convocation ceremony that followed honoured the graduating cohort in the presence of faculty, families, and peers. A special Karmayogi video presentation was also screened, symbolizing the institution’s commitment to purpose-driven practice and ethical contribution to the built environment.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Prof. Anand Achari, Principal, VESCOA stated, “Convocation marks not just the completion of an academic journey, but the beginning of a lifelong responsibility to shape the built environment with integrity and imagination. At VESCOA, we are committed to building the future of a New Bharat — where architecture harmoniously blends sustainability, technology, and our ancient roots. We are proud of our graduating students and confident that they will contribute meaningfully to creating resilient, inclusive, and future-ready spaces.”
In just three years, Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Architecture (VESCOA) has grown into a dynamic institution focused on academic excellence and sustainability-led design education, steadily strengthening its presence in the field of architecture.
