Mumbai, Mar 5: The Centre for Transforming India (CFTI) has been officially listed on the Social Stock Exchange (SSE) of the National Stock Exchange of India, marking a significant milestone in its mission to scale grassroots development across rural India. With this recognition, CFTI has become the 79th NGO to be empanelled as an approved partner organization on the SSE platform.

The listing reinforces CFTI’s commitment to transparency, strong governance, and measurable impact. Through the SSE platform, the organization will be able to access performance-linked philanthropy, structured reporting frameworks, and enhanced credibility, enabling stronger trust between donors and implementation partners while delivering measurable outcomes at the community level.

CFTI estimates that ₹3 crore to ₹5 crore over three years is required to holistically transform a single village through sustained, outcome-driven interventions. With over 6 lakh villages in India, the organization has set an ambitious long-term goal of transforming at least 1,000 villages by 2050, creating scalable models for grassroots development.

By leveraging the SSE framework, CFTI aims to align long-term capital with measurable community outcomes. The platform introduces stronger benchmarks for impact measurement and accountability, ensuring that philanthropic contributions translate into tangible and sustained change at the village level.

Speaking on the milestone, Chitralekha Nrupal Patil, Founder and Mentor Trustee of CFTI, said:

“CFTI is a grassroots-level movement deeply connected with communities, and this listing reflects our continued commitment to scaling impact through ethical and transparent practices. Our long-term vision is to transform 1,000 villages by 2050 by delivering last-mile educational solutions that focus not only on enrolment but also on access, retention, measurable learning outcomes, and community respect for education. Our strategy is to build sustainable, replicable, and evidence-based grassroots models that can set new benchmarks for rural education in India. Ultimately, our aim is for CFTI to become one of the most trusted and result-oriented grassroots implementation organisations in the education sector.”

This milestone marks an important step in CFTI’s structured growth and governance journey. The organization continues to focus on community-led development and measurable village-level transformation, ensuring that progress is sustainable and deeply rooted in local participation.
