Hyderabad, Mar 05: Phenom, through its corporate social responsibility initiative Phenom Cares, in partnership with Bayireddi Foundation, successfully conducted a Cancer Prevention Awareness Drive across key intersections in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. The initiative focused on promoting early detection, regular screening, and the importance of preventive healthcare among the public.
The awareness drive took place at high-footfall locations including HITEC City and Gachibowli in Hyderabad and Maddilapalem Junction in Visakhapatnam during peak hours. The objective was to take critical health awareness messages directly into public spaces, ensuring that commuters received important information as part of their everyday routines.
As part of the initiative, employee volunteers from Phenom stood at busy traffic signals holding placards carrying impactful messages about cancer prevention and the importance of early screening. Volunteers also distributed cancer awareness badges to commuters, encouraging them to spread awareness about routine health check-ups and the adoption of healthy lifestyle practices.
Speaking about the initiative, Srinivas Pindi, VP – HR & TA at Phenom, said:
“Small actions can lead to life-changing awareness, especially when it helps people stop, think and take a proactive step for their own wellbeing. By taking this message to the streets, we aimed to spark conversations that normalize preventive care and encourage people to take routine screenings and regular health check-ups more seriously. When people are presented with the right information at the right time, awareness can turn into action and result in better health outcomes.”
By stepping beyond workplace boundaries and into public spaces, Phenom Cares continues to demonstrate its commitment to a community-first and purpose-driven approach to corporate social responsibility.
With the continued involvement of its employees, Phenom remains dedicated to driving CSR initiatives that focus on community wellbeing, health awareness, and meaningful social impact in the regions where it operates.
