The campaign garnered an impressive response, with over 3000 Digital Rakhis sent by siblings around the world. Utilizing this digital platform, they could effortlessly send beautifully designed, personalized digital Rakhis with heartfelt messages, delivered instantly with just a few clicks. This initiative by the Chandak Group helped bridge these distances, making Raksha Bandhan a memorable occasion for all members of the family, and communities and an occasion to be remembered for life.
The Digital Rakhis were delivered in a mere 30 seconds through an Augmented Reality (AR) Rakhi Filter which uniquely combines digital technology with personalization. This campaign, which ran from August 17 to August 19, 2024, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan Day, provided a fresh take on the traditional celebration.
Raksha Bandhan is more than just a festival; it is a heartfelt celebration of the special bond between siblings and the community at large. Raksha Bandhan is traditionally marked by the exchange of Rakhi; the festival symbolizes love, protection, and unity. For many, physical distance can turn this celebration into a moment of longing. Before the campaign’s launch, a comprehensive marketing blitz was carried out across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The AR Rakhi campaign was a collaboration between Chandak Group and Effectization Studio, based in Noida, Haryana.
