Mumbai, Feb 24: Target Learning Ventures Pvt. Ltd., a leading educational resource provider and trusted publishing house, recently conducted an insightful webinar titled ‘How to Strengthen the Parent-Child Bond’. Dr. Lekha Tiwari, a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician from the renowned New Horizon Child Development Center, one of the oldest and largest child development centres in India, led the session, offering valuable advice to parents on nurturing a stronger bond with their children.
The session, divided into a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A segment, where Dr. Tiwari addressed questions from parents in the audience. She covered a range of topics related to child development, focusing on managing issues such as nutrition, sleep patterns, and energy levels.
Dr. Tiwari shared the importance of providing children with simple, homemade, and region-specific foods, emphasizing that “what we feed our children directly influences their growth and development.” She also highlighted the significance of distinguishing between normal developmental behaviors and potential concerns, urging parents to “pay attention to their child’s unique growth patterns and foster an environment of open communication.”
In her presentation, she also discussed feeding practices, including when to introduce salt, sugar, and spices, and the process of transitioning from breastfeeding to formula or cow’s milk. “Establishing a consistent mealtime routine and limiting distractions like screens during eating time can make a big difference in fostering healthy eating habits,” Dr. Tiwari explained.
